Wild Life Trust Congo

Our Team

What began in 2016 as just two passionate individuals working from a small room in Lubumbashi has grown into a powerful movement — today, Wildlife Trust Congo is a thriving family of nearly 100 dedicated professionals and more than 3,400 supporters united by one mission: to protect and preserve wildlife.

Our team is as diverse as the challenges we face: conservation biologists, scientists, sociologists, wildlife veterinarians, managers, lawyers, finance experts, and communication specialists — all working hand in hand to safeguard Congo’s natural heritage.

From remote corners of the country to our central hub in Kinshasa, our people are on the ground every day, turning vision into action. Guided by an Executive Management Team of seasoned conservationists, scientists, and managers, Wildlife Trust Congo blends expertise with passion to drive real change.

At the helm, our Board of Trustees brings together decades of proven experience in conservation, education, and management, ensuring that every decision is rooted in wisdom and a long-term commitment to nature.

Wildlife Trust Congo is more than an organization — it’s a force for the future of wildlife, and every voice that joins us strengthens the impact we can make.

Living here in the English Countryside, we are surrounded by some beautiful natural landscapes, which are home to some amazing wildlife. We have birds such as Curlew, Kingfisher and Owl. Hares, Roe Deer, Bats, Hedgehogs and Badgers. The list is endless and I feel very lucky to also call it my home. That's why I am supporting WTC as I feel fulfilling my dream by serving Wildlife Trust Congo

This wonderful animal is worth to be protected at all cost; Nearly extinct in Congo?, We urgently need to bring back this okapi in the wild.

Kabeya jean Auguste

Representative of Wildlife Trust Congo/Germany office

Wildlife in Congo should be protected as, since the independence time less effort has been done in animal and plant conservation. Our wonderful biodiversity has to be looked at; at all costs for the sake of generations to come.

Kassie Lashley

Representative of Wildlife Trust Congo and Advocate for Wildlife Trust Congo/ Missouri/USA

The beauty of the wildlife is astounding. From the birds humming in the sky to the snakes that slither on the ground. As a human, protecting the wildlife is important for the circle of life. We need the wildlife for the human population to survive. Things that affect the wildlife are pollution, climate change, habitat destruction, overexploitation and illegal wildlife trading. I support "Wildlife Trust Congo" in its aim to stop the killing of Endangered Animals Species.
It is totally wrong to kill these animals to gain money from greedy individuals.
In the same way, the greed of the big corporations, mining and drilling for fossil fuels, which is ruining the planet with global warming causing more Drought, Floods and consequently Food shortage and Famines.
These fossils have formed over millions of years and should never have been disturbed.
Would we disturb a grave to profit from the bones?
All this thirst for money must imperatively stop before it is too late.

As a passionate advocate for the natural world, I hold a deep appreciation for wildlife and its vital role in maintaining the health and balance of our planet. From the smallest insect to the largest mammal, I believe every species has inherent value and contributes to the rich biodiversity that sustains life on Earth.

My commitment to wildlife conservation stems from a strong sense of responsibility to protect the ecosystems that support us all. I am inspired by the resilience of nature and motivated by the urgent need to safeguard it for future generations. I am excited to contribute my time, energy, and voice to support the mission of the Wildlife Conservation and to stand alongside others who are equally dedicated to preserving the wonders of the natural world.

Activist for nature, Supporter of Wildlife Trust Congo/ United Kingdom

Wildlife has been a big part of my life growing up,having always had animals in my home and living in an area rich with animals. Enjoying and nurturing wildlife is critical to allowing the world to live harmoniously. Congo, having some of the largest rain forests in the world plays an essential part in not just the overall ecosystem of Africa, but also in that of Earth. It is our duty to protect these animals and provide them with safety where necessary, not just for our children but the stability of our planet. - Congo is their home too.

My thoughts about Wildlife is that human beings become more attached to their pet in the sense that they are even neglected to care for people
